President Javier Milei led the annual Sword Delivery ceremony for the 35 new generals, admirals, and brigadier generals of the Armed Forces promoted in 2025. He did so in an express ceremony that lasted less than ten minutes, during which he did not speak, unlike the 2024 edition. From the White Hall of the Casa Rosada, the head of state presided over the promotion ceremony in the company of the outgoing Minister of Defense, Luis Petri, and his successor, Lieutenant General Carlos Alberto Presti, in the uniform of Chief of the Army General Staff, who will lead the portfolio from December 10. Beside them, the brief ceremony was attended while standing by the General Secretary of the Presidency, Karina Milei, and the Head of the Military Household, Sebastián Ibáñez. The ceremony included the presence of the Chief of the General Staff of the Navy, Carlos María Allievi; the Chief of the General Staff of the Air Force, Gustavo Valverde; and the Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces, Xavier Julián Isaac. After the blessing from the military bishop, Monsignor Santiago Olivera, the Admiral Carlos María Allievi; the Lieutenant General Carlos Presti; the Vice Admiral Juan Carlos Core, of the Navy; the Brigadier General Héctor Cesar Tornero, of the Argentine Army; and the Brigadier General Pablo Depalo, of the Argentine Army, received the white swords bearing their names and the signature of the head of state. Likewise, from the Argentine Navy, the Vice Admiral Juan Carlos Romay, and the Rear Admirals Pablo Javier Barbarich; Román Enrique Olivero; Jorge Javier Raimondo; Osvaldo Raúl Chiñi; Maximiliano Mangiaterra; Guillermo Alberto Prada; Eduardo Ignacio Llambi; Gustavo Omar Gaona and Omar Eduardo Daniel Balbo were decorated. Corresponding to the Argentine Army, the head of state delivered swords to the Division Generals Carlos Alberto Carugno; Oscar Santiago Zarich; Jorge Alberto Puebla; Roberto Martín Baroni; Roberto Pedro Cardoso; Carlos Horacio Martín; Esteban Guillermo Ledesma Cuoto; Ricardo Felipe Fresta; Julián Andrés Massi Filippa; Pablo Javier Rolando; Gonzalo Rodríguez Espada; Pablo Alberto Filippini and Jorge Mariano López Stanic. For their part, the Air Force members who were promoted are: Brigadier Major Gustavo Javier Valverde and the Brigadiers Gonzalo Javier Toloza; Guillermo Alejandro Dignani; Lucas Victorino Carol Lugones; Adolfo Alejandro Heretich; Mariano Patrosso and Alejandro Cristian Giltin.
